This year marks a major milestone — 40 years since our graduation from Georgia Tech! And it’s been 15 years since our last reunion in 2002. Let’s make this a momentous occasion by celebrating this special anniversary.
As chair of the Class of 1977 40th Reunion Committee, I invite you to come back to Georgia Tech for our 40th reunion during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on October 19-21, 2017. The Homecoming game will take place on Saturday, October 21 when our Yellow Jackets take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons! In addition to renewing relationships, making new friends and reminiscing about our years on campus, we will host a class reunion party on Friday evening and on Saturday, you can enjoy the Cake Race, Ramblin’ Reck Parade and Ramblin’ Wreck Rally Tailgate. Online registration for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend will be available in June. Please register to attend the reunion party and the football game along with a host of other events and activities.
We want to learn about what each of our classmates have been doing for the past 40 years and hope you will take a few moments to complete the reunion questionnaire online at www.gtalumni.org/40thquestionnaire. You will need to log into the GT Alumni Association website, so if you have already registered, simply enter your username and password. If you have not registered, please click the "Register" button on the home page to set up your username and password. If you have problems registering, please contact the Technology Support Center at 404-894-7173.
Homecoming & Reunion Weekend is a longstanding tradition at Georgia Tech. In addition to coming home to Georgia Tech to visit with classmates and friends, that tradition includes making a 40th Reunion gift to our alma mater. Our Reunion Committee set a participation goal and an overall fundraising goal. I invite you register to attend our reunion party and the Homecoming game and to join our class in making a gift of any level to Georgia Tech in honor of this milestone reunion.
I hope you will make plans to attend our class reunion party on Friday evening, October 20th of Homecoming & Reunion Weekend to toast each other and celebrate the 40 years that have passed since we “got out.” It will definitely be a weekend to remember!
I look forward to seeing you in October!
