The year 2017 marks a major milestone for us — it’s been 50 years since we “got out”! Can you believe it?
Our 50th Reunion will take place over Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on October 19-21, 2017. The Homecoming game will take place on Saturday, October 21 when our Yellow Jackets take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons! The Class of 1967 50th Reunion Committee is planning a great weekend, and we can assure you that you want to be with us! We will assemble classmates you have not seen for years, and Tech will entertain you royally!
As Co-Chairs of the Class of 1967 50th Reunion Committee, we are looking forward to this momentous occasion. In addition to renewing relationships, making new friends and reminiscing about our years on campus, we will host a fabulous Class Reunion party. On Saturday, you can enjoy the Cake Race, Ramblin’ Reck Parade and Ramblin’ Wreck Rally Tailgate before the Homecoming football game on October 21st. There will be a block of tickets available for reunion alumni to purchase.
Our main goal is to encourage attendance and participation at our reunion events and festivities. In other words, our vision is to host an engagement-focused rather than fundraising-focused reunion. While we hope you will be interested in making a gift or commitment in support of our reunion which will enable our alma mater to continue to advance among the world’s top technological research universities, please know that our 50th reunion will be a different event from those in the past.
We want to learn about what each of our classmates have been doing for the past 50 years and hope you will take a few moments to complete the reunion questionnaire online at www.gtalumni.org/50thquestionnaire. You will need to log into the GT Alumni Association website, so if you have already registered, simply enter your username and password. If you have not registered, please click the "Register" button on the home page to set up your username and password. If you have problems registering, please contact the Technology Support Center at 404-894-7173.
If you are interested in learning more about reunion plans at our 50th, please contact Rachel Donnelly, Director of Development for Reunion Giving, at 404-894-2454 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
